MILAN FILM is an award-winning Swiss production company based in Basel (Switzerland) on the borders of Germany and France and connected by the Rhine and in Zurich, the film metropole of Switzerland.

MILAN FILM is an award-winning Swiss production company founded in 2016. We develop and produce feature fiction, documentaries and series. Our offices are based in Basel and Zurich.

We focus on current, socially relevant topics, realizing films that are primarily about people grappling with moral and existential issues, while remembering to include the humorous side when appropriate. Our aim is to tell stories that reach a broad audience – to make people laugh and cry, as well as to introduce topics which are not often discussed openly.

Cyrill Gerber

CEO & Producer

Cyrill Gerber, born 1984, studied philosophy and German. First worked as a screenwriter at Constantin Entertainment in Munich and completed further training as a producer at the Bavarian Academy for Television. In 2018, he finally produced his first feature film OUT OF PARADISE as co-producer, which won the Best Film Award at the Shanghai International Film Festival. He is a board member of Balimage (Basler Verein für Film und Medienkunst) and a member of the Swiss producers‘ association IG Unabhängige Schweizer Filmproduzenten.

Oksana Spychiger

Accounting

Oksana Spychiger studied linguistics and real estate accounting. Her involvement in movie making started with screenwriting studies in Hamburg and then she improved her skills with different screenwriting coaches in Switzerland and Germany. In the same time, she became a member of the board of VfBbB (Verein für die Förderung der Begeisterung am bewegten Bild). In 2020 she started to work as an accountant in a real estate company «Terranova» and in 2023 joined Milan Film in the same position.

Lena Lengsfeld

Lena Lengsfeld studied fine arts at HGK in Basel and completed her master’s degree in film with a focus on documentary film at DFK in Lucerne last year. In addition to her work in film production, she is involved in editing art films and short documentaries and is writing her next short film.
